Find Out the NDIS Pay Rates

As a registered NDIS provider, you will be able to access billions of dollars of government funds that have been allocated to the NDIS to ensure the ongoing safety and care for those in Australia living with a disability.

The NDIS have a set pricing guide (known as NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits, but previously, the NDIS Price Guide) to outline the amount of funds they will pay an individual or a business for the services they have provided to an NDIS participant.

The NDIS price guide will outline the specific rates based on the service category provided, the qualification of the individual providing care and whether or not there is any shift work penalties. The NDIS also has increased pay rates for those working in a rural/regional setting.

Why does the NDIS have price limits?

The NDIS price guide and pay rates are put in place to ensure that NDIS participants receive value for money for the services they purchase. It is designed to prevent providers in less competitive markets from charging unreasonable fees. It helps to keep a fair playing field for both providers and participants. The NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits are changed periodically as per the discretion of the NDIA.

Why does the NDIS change the pay rates?

The NDIS will review its pay limits at least annually to ensure that pay rates remain fair and reasonable. The prices are adjusted to account for changes to the Consumer Price Index or cost of living. The NDIS will often review the pay rates more frequently if there are any economic changes, such as changes caused by the COVID-19 global pandemic.
